    Description

    Silver King Mining Company
Original 1912 letter and cover from miner C. E. Smith to company treasurer W. S. Risley.  Smith reports that he has been fixing the bunkhouse and "ceiled it all up."  He says he needs to raise some money.  He requests 0 because his "clothes is most all in" and he is "most bare footed and can't work much longer in that way."  Envelope has rare Elkhorn, Oregon postmark.  Good condition, minor blemishes of age.
